| VeneZia Sights - Campanile di Piazza di San Marco |
| Submitted by wesmfmm on 2008-12-13 01:37:05 (via travel.webshots.com) |
| St Mark's Campanile is the bell tower of St Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy, located in the square (piazza) of the same name. It is a recognizable symbol of the city. The Campanile di San Marco, or Belltower of St. Mark's, has stood for more than a thousand years--or for less than a century, depending on how you define "truth in advertising."

Three of us will be in Italy for a week the middle of June after a motorcycle tour of the Alps. Afterwards we wanted to see some of Italy. We would like suggestions for Central Italy travel. We are interested in Tuscany, Florence and Rome, but would like to experience real Italy too. Any suggestions? thanks |

you could go to Napoli, it's a beautiful big city near the sea. There you can see the "real" italy and eat the better pizza of all the country! :) |
