Pals Medieval Village - Spain

Pals is a medieval town in Catalonia a few kilometres from the sea in the heart of the Bay of Emporda on the Costa Brava. It has a historic centre on a hill surrounded by plains with an ancient Romanesque tower, a Gothic Quarter and cobbled streets interrupted by semicircular arches, façades with pointed arched windows and stone balconies.

Colorful House in La Boca

La Boca has many of these brightly colored buildings. The area around "El Caminito" Street is one of the most colorful in Buenos Aires.

Petra - The Rose-Red City

Petra is a 2000 year old city, carved entirely into the rose-red cliffs by the Nabataeans. In 1985 Petra was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In 2007 it was selected as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.   More...

The Sighisoara Citadel is the old historic center of the town of Sighisoara (Romania), built in the 12th century. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

Sure you have seen many pictures of Venice, also known as the "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Bridges", and "The City of Light", last October I was there, the mooring poles" captured my attention, so I hope these photos are something different to what you have previously seen :) Francisca
