That must be an interesting ceremony:)It is definitely unusual for Easter. And what are the dishes that you eat for Easter? Is it something special? specifically Spanish? |

Typicall on Easter are "huesitos de Santo" and "Torrijas". |

WE eat many different types of sweets. One of the most typical ones are TORRIJAS, that are bread, milk, sugar and cinnamon if you like it. Some people use red wine instead of milk.
And as we are a catholic country usually people don't eat meat on Friday i think but maybe the rest of the week as well. WEll, instead of meat, you eat fish and there's a special dish aclled POTAJE that is a casserole with white beans, spinach and cod. If you want any other explanation, just ask. :)

Hi!! i´am a spanish girl well during Semana santa is usually eat fish and some sweet (dulce in spanish) el "hueso de santo" is a tradicional sweet is very good haha and "torrijas" is bread with milk and sugar :D andd potajes see a espanish dictionary please :( "pestiños" and "roscos" another sweets.. sorry for mi english good luck in your travels! |
